Follow-Up Sessions ($80-$160) – Implementation support and troubleshooting

Not sure? That’s what the discovery call is for. I’ll help you decide.

Most families book 2-4 follow-up sessions after their assessment over 4-6 weeks. Some need more, some need less. We can discuss together how many sessions would work best for your needs.

Logistics

All sessions are via secure video telehealth platform. You will receive an e-mail with a link to the platform after you book your session. You’ll need a reliable internet connection, a device with camera/microphone, and a private space for confidential conversations. Virtual sessions are effective and allow me to serve families across Ontario.

No. I’m registered to practice in Ontario only and cannot provide services to families in other provinces or countries.

24 hours notice required. Late cancellations or no-shows are charged the full session fee. Email hello@therestfulpath.ca to cancel or reschedule.

My Approach

As a Registered Behaviour Analyst regulated by CPBAO, I conduct a comprehensive functional behavioural assessment to identify what’s actually maintaining your child’s sleep problem, not just apply a generic program.

You don’t just get a plan to follow. I teach you the behavioural science behind each recommendation so you understand why it works and can troubleshoot independently when challenges arise.

I avoid using unmodified extinction (aka cry-it-out). My approach is based on behavioural science, which includes many strategies beyond cry-it-out. We’ll discuss your comfort level and design a plan that aligns with your values while still being effective. Some protest is normal when learning new skills, but minimizing distress is always the goal.

Every family is different so we cannot promise specific timelines. Some see improvement in 3-7 days, others take 2-4 weeks, or longer, depending on complexity, consistency, and individual factors. We cannot ethically guarantee a specific timeline.

Clinical Questions

Children ages 1 and up. I don’t provide services for infants under 12 months.

No. I provide behavioural services to parents and don’t diagnose medical or psychological conditions. If I identify symptoms that may indicate a medical issue (sleep apnea, seizures, developmental concerns), I’ll recommend evaluation with your pediatrician.

I address behavioural challenges, not diagnose or treat medical conditions.

I work with many families whose children have diagnoses. I address specific behavioural concerns (sleep, tantrums, routines) but don’t treat the diagnosed condition itself. If your child receives other services, we can coordinate care with your consent.
